Lyrics
Inspired By Edgar Alan Poe – “Annabel Lee”
My goodness, Lordy, Father my God reveal to me how could this be.
That she I yearned to wed with me is now a Parted Sea.
No psychic or medium or fortune read abound could dare have predicted thee,
That I and my queen, my One and my Only have become a newly parted sea.
I’ve struggled with understanding as tears fall and my heart commence to bleed.
That the truth and apparency of naysayer’s predictions have realized the result of us, a Parted Sea.
The very thing I feared which is why I never tried love with a gender opposite of me,
Is to get close, used to and bind with my family she who now with I, am a Parted Sea.
Daily conversations and visitations and arguments up close and far apart with us in between,
Have now dwindled and is no more, for now we are what Moses achieved, a Parted Sea.
My mind continues to race with thoughts and admiration while neglecting to cease.
Of the woman who I thought sure the love of my life, now WE, a Parted Sea.
No fault of hers, all fault of mine which resulted in her decision to leave.
A lonesome man, back at square one; while our partnership a fresh Parted Sea.
No weddings, no rings, no children, no dreams, just disdain and disappointment for KD.
Concluding once more, together we wish no more, as we are a - for sure Parted Sea.
